A very Happy New Year to all of You !

the last few days have been a major departure from the usual schedules of a hectic b skool life... went to Taj Lands End in mumbai for the CII FMCG conclave...awesome experience... had the privillege of interacting with the whos who of the corporate world and having exotic chicken and fish dishes....no prizes for guessing what i enjoyed more though :-)

took an impulsive decision to stay back in mumbai for a day ... Dinesh proposed we stay at his friend's place in chembur.. this dude works in BPCL...man...do these PSUs take care of u or what !!... amazing apartments, almost free car loans, almost free comps...allowances for every damn thing under the sun :-) ...have blogged about this b4 also...somehow i don't like mumbai...dunno why though !

came back by volvo...reached college at midnight after some minor strolls in mumbai....reached the hostel at 1 am....another impulsive decision was to follow...

this impulse, thanks to sunil, was about going for a trip...somewhere...we didn't care...decided on this place called Murud -Janjira...some 180 km from here....had never heard of this place... decided to go...made it an all boys trip... got a steal with the qualis so the hole in the pocket is not that pronounced :-)

The idea behind travellin in the night was to save the hotel room money...reached this beach called Kashind , 15 km before Murud, at 4:30 in the morning...slept on the sand...all 9 of us had an early morning football game on the beach..urs truly scored the quickest goal in the history of football...swam in the sea for an hour or so...awesome fun...except when the salty water gets into ur system :-)

went to murud...took one room in a shady place called bambbp best...dumped our stuff and went to have an early lunch....boy...the guys were so damn hungry...ended up ordering some 7 prawn dishes....other stuf extra...awesome food...

Murud has a fort in the sea...the only one of its kind in the world...hired a sail boat to go there...what fundoo architecture people...pretty impressive for a 900 yr old fort...they say its perhaps one of the few forts that Shivaji could not conquer even after repeated attempts....

went back to the beach...another session of football....cajoled one small boy into lending his bicycle to me...what fun to ride one on the beach !! ...time flew and it was time to return....arguably one of the best 24 hrs of my life.... fun fun and more fun !!!

the blogging culture, although late, seems to be catching on in my college. Recently, I have had atleast a person a day coming to me and asking me about blogging.... and everytime this happens I am reminded that I am not blogging enuf myself :-)

The last few days...well...my sis is back in delhi foe a couple of weeks....haven't seen her for 2 yrs now.... will try and go to delhi for a couple of days...lets see..

had a class party yesterday....even reluctant dancers like yours truly and monsieur sunil could not help but move with the crowd...think we should do this more often.....i just looove the subjects in sem 2....and the faculty just rocks....guess sadman and ops research just stand out....for all my pledges of utilizing the free time in studies I have maaged to sleep more in this sem....saw the new Arbit Choudhary toons that have been circulating on the net....amazing....just captures b-skool life so well.

have started to jog again...used to jog everyday religiously b4 coming here....lets see if I can keep this going.
